Kitchen Aid Brownies

A Weekend of Food & Drink

Yeah, this happened…I scored a Kitchen Aid Mixer for $50 bucks! Our neighbor had one, never taken out of the box, and sold it to me on Saturday. Best Day Ever! I still can’t believe it and now it has a prominent spot on my small kitchen counter. I used it today to make brownies, let the games begin.

Kitchen Aid Brownies We were watching Pioneer Woman Saturday morning and she was using her Kitchen Aid mixer. Beeb causally mentioned that our neighbor was selling one for $50! I almost had a stroke and within minutes the deal was made. While watching the show, Rae made a Quinoa Salad with Buttery Roasted Vegetables. Beeb was loving this recipe and since she scored me a mixer, I went out and got the ingredients for the salad. Very good recipe and a new keeper in our house. Check out the recipe by clicking here.

Quinoa SaladWe also tried a new cocktail this weekend. I find the drinks, Steve does the mixology, I take the pictures and he gets to drink it. All good for everyone involved. I found this one for a Gin, Elderflower and Prosecco Cocktail on “Garnish with Lemon”. It was really good.

Gin CocktailTonight we wrapped up the weekend with mini pizzas with arugula, peppers, and prosciutto. These were delicious and I found the recipe at Finecooking.com.

Mini Pizzas

I hope everyone had a good weekend and lets get ready for some warm weather and being outside soon digging in the dirt.
